A light set heads upgrade to help out another Westbound from Altoona get over the mountain and then help it brake down back the hill.

This unit is about as modern-looking as it's possible for an SD40-2 to get, even though it's serving its last days out on "The Hill" in helper service.

In a heavy snow squall, a rare 3 unit Conrail blue lash-up leads a coal train Eastbound. The train will pass under Rt. 53, and will shortly pass CP AR before descending the slide into Altoona.
NS helper set 3380, 3427 eases in to a hitch with NS 2649.
