CP 5743 is on the point RCPE's Huron-Rapid City freight in the siding at Miller after meeting the MRCHU. Once lined out, the train will highball west toward the State Capital city of Pierre.

The train doesn’t go there anymore — Deadwood, South Dakota. Three BN SD9s were tied up at the end of the branch on Aug. 31, 1979, and the line was later abandoned.
