The morning fog typical of early October has just begun to lift as a Pittsburg & Shawmut train is just a few miles out of Brookville as it heads to the mines.

Pittsburg & Shawmut 1775 is working for the Lycoming Valley as it powers a train from Newberry Yard in Williamsport, Pa., to Jersey Shore Steel in Avis.

The Pittsburg and Shawmut's Brookville turn gets its train together before it departs to serve the mines between Brookville and Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
