The sun is setting earlier and the leaves are turning in Connecticut as evident in this shot.. Some dark clouds cover the eastern sky as the sun glares from the west.. Fall colors at their best!!!

NR2 is done for the day - 3909 and its flat ties onto the 3901 and B30-7A and its tanker before the train heads back to the engine house to tie down for the night.

Profile of the B23-7R shows the resemblances with a B39/40 but with Blomberg trucks, and sloped DB cabinet location.

NR-2 is done for the day and is heading back to the engine house.

3902 has just finished dropping a tank car on a siding out of frame to the right and is about to tie back onto NR3.

3902 is pulling a set of cars working NR-3...the days work is almost done and once the cars are spotted, the 02 and 2215 will head back to the engine house.

3908 and two other engines switch in behind the 16 to tie on and bring it back to the engine house.

2216 seems to be dead as NR-2's power couples on to bring it to the engine house. NR-3 waits patiently in the background.

After a day switching the NB 3901 and 4004 couple up to head back to the Plainfield Engine House.

A mix of clouds and direct sun on a typical New England spring day. The trees are finally filling in and the rain has subsided after more than a week - this telephoto is my first pic in a month.

The 4th B40-8 P&W acquired from the NYS&W still wearing yellow and black but with "tasteful" looking patches. At least they used yellow on yellow instead of black like on 4002.
