This is a special Amtrak move between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Aboard were UP, BNSF and AMTRAK excecutives. Current speculation is that passenger train service may resume soon along this line.

Amtrak train #35, a very late westbound Southwest Chief, pauses at the next-to-last stop in Fullerton, CA, before traversing the last 28 miles of its run from Chicago to Los Angeles.
The westbound "Pennsylvanian" exits the Allegheny Tunnel on its way to Pittsburgh to connect with train 29 the westbound "Capitol Limited".
Train 145 passes along the canal at Windsor Locks, CT.

Amtrak 51, the westbound Cardinal, FLIES through South Manassas at track speed.
Amtrak #1, the westbound Sunset Limited, is running about 2 hours late on a clear November Sunday morning.
A charter outfit, Uncommon Journeys, runs their train west past through Charlottesville, VA.
