Heading up its first road freight, Interstate 8105 takes the diverging route at Kite en route to the yard at Bulls Gap---just a couple of miles ahead.

"Interstate" 8105 is greeted by the morning light as the doors roll up at the NS locomotive paint shop at Chattanooga. This was the first appearance of the finished locomotive.

On a cold night along the James River, a CSX rail train is tied up just east of the old depot. The GP40-2 on the point is a candidate for a new paint job.
