With an unbelievable lashup of three Southern Pacific tunnel motors, a Kyle Railroad westbound rounds the curve at Almena, KS as storm clouds loom over the prarie behind the train.

Northbound grain train waiting to depart this tiny town that was once an important junction. Probably my favorite SD40 configuration, a “basic” and a “cobra”.
