ALCOs 3834 and 3823 both built at Schenectady in the late 1950s share the shed at Mach with a couple of goats. Mach shed provides banking engines (helpers) on the Bolan Pass.
ALCO 3807 passes a group of nomadic people (and their camels) camped out next to the line near Kolpur. The train is the Bolan Mail, 1530 Quetta to Karachi.
ALCO 3815, with 3814 pushing, struggle up the 4% grade out of Mach with a train for Quetta. I had walked over a mile from Mach station in a temperature of 44c (111f).
