Shortly after hitting the diamonds with the old Rock Island, Q116 makes its way across the muddy Hickory Creek in Joliet's east side.

After waiting for a Metra train to leave town, the British Columbia Railway heritage unit continues its trip to Markham as it crosses the old Rock Island diamonds in Joliet.

The BC Rail heritage unit slowly rolls up on the Rock in Joliet, awaiting signal indication. In charge of Q116, the train is bound for Moyers' Intermodal Terminal in Markham.

After a wait at East Bridge Junction, the BC Rail heritage unit leads Q116 across the old EJ&E Bridge 198 and the Des Plaines River.
