This photo was shot the year UP renovated the yard at Roseville. The rail is being cut in preparation for the welding process. I got to take the cut piece of rail home to AZ as a souvenir.

Here it is! The Southern Pacific Heritage unit, UP 1996 runs NB on its maiden voyage for Portland on the headend of the MRVPT. Trailing is a fairly clean ACe and Western Pacific heritage 1983.
