A pair of ex-Conrail SD60M's have exited the tunnel at Gallitzin and will soon be running down the west slope to Pittsburgh.

Just as the morning sun starts to cast over the top of Tunnelhill, a westbound mixed freight comes roaring out of Gallitzin Tunnel fighting the grade with all its might.

Shot on Easter Sunday 2014. NS 056 heads east by AR Tower in Gallitzin on the Pittsburgh with a wide variety of equipment, including two Colas Freight Export Units.

As a mixed freight comes down the slide, an intermodal fights the grade on the east end of Gallitzin without the assistance of helpers.

A set of helpers come out of the tunnels westbound on track 3.

With 20Q visible far across the Alleghenies, the helpers give some dynamic braking to assist in the long decent into Altoona.
