Making an appearance in one of my favorite spots in the entire state of Minnesota. In just a few short miles, they'll be out of the Buffalo Ridge, and into the state of South Dakota.

This trio spent the morning idling by the roundhouse, but before long, they would be on their way westward, with GP10 1418 in the lead.

As far as terrain goes, northern Minnesota is pretty flat and boring, so catching a train on a curve is pretty rare, at least for this particular area.

It seems Amtrak cannot escape the snow. The #8 is finally approaching Little Falls at 0948hrs. Typically, this train would be long gone before the sun rises in this area.
