This EB is crossing the truss bridge in Elkhorn City. This bridge was once 2 span but reduced to 1 span a few years back. He is about to crossover onto former Clinchfield rails at this point.

Pushers on the north end of Elkhorn City strain to push this loaded unit coal train through the Breaks. Its here where the old Clinchfield line begins.

With two lighting bolts on the side and a new Gevo for lead units, this coal drag is about to leave old C&O trackage and enter Clinchfield Country for a trip through Breaks Gorge and beyond.

Making for a very dramatic show at night, an SD70MAC leads slowly out of Pool Point Tunnel onto the massive bridge here on the GE dominated ex-Clinchfield trackage.

Going, going, gone... 1st coal drag of the day has just left the former C&O tracks and have now entered the Breaks Gorge and the former tracks of the Clinchfield.

CSX 4738 crosses the old C&O bridge in Elkhorn City.

With the 1st snow still visible, its business as usual as this set of pushers make their way south into the gorge.

Note the rise of the grade beginning here, near the end of the old C & O line, and the beginning of the Clinchfield. And I think they could use another No Trespassing sign here...
