The Mallet 442-54 hauling a short freight train has left the Nefasit station a few minutes ago. After a 180 degree turn the train is seen on the opposite side of the village on its way to Asmara.
The Fiat Littorina railcar has just left the Nefasit station and is now starting the steep climb to its final destination Asmara.
The sun is still shining over Arbaroba but the dark clouds and the storm are coming closer as the Mallet 442-54 leaves the village with a short train to Asmara.
The Eritrean Littorina were built by FIAT in the 1930's. They have been in regular use on the Eritrean Railways until the mid 1970's. Three Fiat-built Littorina railcars survived the civil war and... (more)
