A drag freight rolls through Salt Lake City 4th south. As a Frontrunner is taking on passengers at the station.
What a good looking set of locomotives. A couple of nicely painted GP38's UP 578, and UP 724.
The sound of these two GP38's moving all these tank cars was wonderful to hear. UP 578 of Southern Pacific Heritage, and 724 of Missouri Pacific heritage work the Chevron refinery.
A northbound Front Runner lead by UTA 10. Passes a departing westbound Union Pacific freight leave Salt Lake Cities North Yard. Also in the distance is a southbound Frontrunner at the station.

Some rare visitors to Utah. Two KCS units lead a UP grain train. The leader is actually a Kanas City Southern de Mexico. The grain train is a Brownton, MN to Keyes, CA.
Union Pacific 1983, the Western Pacific heritage unit is seen as the rear DPU on a coal train at Roper Yard in Salt Lake City.
