The RUT312 is a pretty good size train tonight, at this point 24 cars. GP38-3 2007, and GP40-3 3002 are on a slow roll through Murray, Utah.

One of Utah's more elusive units to me. At least in recent years. Utah Railway 2002 was made from Southern Pacific GP35 6304.
After work today, I drove across the tracks to see if I could see anything. I was in luck, green signal. Five minutes later I had this empty coal train heading for Helper.
In what has to be about the shortest coal train I've seen Union Pacific run. Two units 7657 and 2626 lead at most, I would guess, 50 coal hoppers on the Provo Subdivision.
