Looking brand new, LIRR 506 stands at Port Jefferson in October 1999.
The class unit is seen minutes from its final destination at Port Jefferson Station. It is passing the former west yard that was closed when the new yard was finished for the bilevel train sets.
The Training Train is done for the day, and after running back and forth between Port Jeff and Northport throughout the day, they tied down the train here for the night.
LIRR 266 and 259 were equipped with pin couplers, in order to be compatible with the C1 coaches.
