The race is on between these two westbounders through Echo. Actually, both trains will stop shortly and the mixed freight's DPU will cut off and jump on the tail of the stack train.

Between the nonstop traffic and awesome red rock faces, Echo Canyon is one of the most underrated railfanning locations in the West!

Although this line is owned by UP, you would never know by the looks of it. Trackage rights trains from BNSF and UTAH out numbered UP trains 2 to 1... literally, only three trains ran all day.
