A high hood GP38-2 leads Norfolk Southern train P84 north through Thomasville, North Carolina at 10:30 PM on the night of February 9, 2014. This was my first ever successful night shot with flash!

An overcast sky gives way to puffy white clouds on a background of deep blue as P20 shoves a string of ex-N&W and ex-SOU covered hoppers back into the storage track at the end of a Saturday run.
Back inside the city limits of Durham, P20 passes the North Durham Little League Complex, "A Field of Dreams"
The conductor of local P20 waits outside the Durham Yard Office for the light engines to come off the storage track after dropping their train as they put the locos away on another track.

The PL25 Salisbury Switcher turns on the wye.. again.. The only thing they seemed to do all day was pull around this old N&W caboose.
