Late afternoon low light during a winter's day with the shadows starting to get long as the sun is well on its way to setting.

With Minntac partially visible in the distance, IC 6252 makes its way down the Minntac sub with a destination back to the yard at Proctor, MN.

Rolling south along the CN Missabe sub as the sun sets. That plume on the horizon is the U.S. Steel Minntac plant where this train originated about an hour or so previous.

Hot taconite loads in the pre-dawn cold air.

That low winter light looks good plastered on the side of this all EMD power set and ore cars complete with a little bit of steam rising as the cold air mingles with the fresh taconite pellets.
