After some work in CN's Battle Creek Yard and a Re-Crew, 149 gets on the raod for Chiacgo. The train passes by the former GTW passenger station at Main Street in Battle Creek.
Gleeming in the evening sun, 149 streches across the wind swept fields on it way toward Chiacgo.
With train 399 out of the way, 149 pulls the train through CN Rose to cross over to Main Two and shoves back to CN Emmett. Here the head end has just cleared Michigan Ave. on the shove back.
Train 149, with the CN 8951, holds Main One as it makes a set out on the pick up tracks by Michigan Ave in Battle Creek. Train 399 gets an air test on Main 2 prior to heading west.
A pleasant surprise to see two shiny CN units heading at you. 149 pulls the small grade into the East end of Battle Creek Yard at CN McAllister.
What more could a kid ask for? A little red wagon and a train!
The sun pops out for a brief second as 149 breaks free of the grade out of Battle Creek and starts gaining speed as it heads west.
Freezing Fog. Cold temperatures and a foggy morning produce some beautiful looking trees.
149 crests the grade out of Battle Creek and is working hard through the banked curve as she passes up a waiting 392 just west of Helmer Road.
