In the fall of 2005 an Southound BNSF was stopped at Sandcut, CA. In the foreground the conductor of BNSF 4239 watches a Northbound pass by as the hr approaches midnight.

While obsessed with sunsets at sandcut, I captured this sunset at Caliente. A little harder to capture because of the mountains, the sun set almost perfect for this angle in April of 2006.

A "windmill" train rolls up the loop. At the time of day this was the only possible spot to get any type of interesting photo. I tried.

Kind of nice seeing red and silver leading. But those units paint sure seems to be fading quickly. Too bad it wasnt a solid warbonnet set, but 2 out of 4 aint too bad.
