CP 2816, followed by CP 1401, travels through a tight gorge along the Kicking Horse River as it approaches Field West.

During a snow squal, a loaded grain train slowly takes the light at Cathederal West, descending down "The Big Hill" into Field, BC.

After a crew change at Field, westbound CP 9663 leads 9217 feet of train past CP115 and onto the CP Mountain Subdivision. I'll admit, the puddle reflection was not entirely planned.

"Big Red Barn" almost at the bottom of the hill, and to the crew change point.

CP 8839 east heads up to the very top of the Big Hill in a midwinter windstorm. CP 115 has stalled out on the eastern slope (7000 feet and 2 AC4400s didn't work out) and 8839 will decouple from it... (more)

Westbound potash train #671 is beginning its descent of the Big Hill as it winds over Kicking Horse Pass - The tail end of the train is just leaving Alberta.
