CSUX coal loads bound for either downtown Colorado Springs or Fountain, CO work west into Cheyenne. This is one of about 3 or 4 Union Pacific trains regularly seen on the famed Joint Line.

I can assure you, #401 has seen better days, but has been sitting here for a number of years. The wind has taken care of the tarp that had been covering it up in recent months.

The steam crew is making final checks before an early morning departure from Cheyenne; the train will soon depart to meet the Circus train in Speer, WY.
