NS 2565 wearing the new Horse Head paint scheme leads a westbound intermodal downgrade under the bridge on track 3 at the Cassandra Overlook.
CSX 4720 is eastbound with a heavy manifest train. The train is in notch 8 with a helper on the rear of the train pushing hard.
CSX 8637 is working in pusher service on Sandpatch and is almost at the crest. The lead unit is through the tunnel and holding back the train as it starts its descend down the mountain.
Q149 is heading west past the Amtrak Station in Cumberland. The train will pick up a helper unit once out of town for the climb over Sandpatch Grade.
Q137 emerges from Falls Cut Tunnel on CSX’s Keystone Sub. (Sandpatch Grade). Q137 is running reverse rail this morning due to a broken rail on track 1 at CP Foley.
A Gray Ghost knocks down the signal westbound through CP Lewis on track 2. Hopefully the Ghost will be swapped out at Altoona and sent to the Juniata paint shop for her finish coat!

NS 2563 just crested the west slope and is setting the brakes for the long slow run down the Allegheny mountains into Altoona, Pa.
11K grinds out of the tunnel on track 3 with a heavy manifest train.
10N is climbing hard up the west slope on Track 1.
Helper NS 3372 is in notch 8 pushing 21Q up the grade past the still active Ex-Pennsy Alto Tower. Alto is still maned 24 hours a day and controls helper movements over Horse Shoe Curve.
W&LE 3067 leads a grain extra eastbound on CSX under the famous WM Keystone Viaduct.
