I've never seen a SD90MAC on the Joint Line before, but here two of the monsters haul a loaded rail train north into Palmer Lake.

A long manifest train climbs through Larkspur behind a pair of GE widecabs.

A loaded grain train climbs into Larkspur as it works its way south. This train had three units pushing on the rear, and if I'm not mistaken, one of them was probably manned.

A pair of veteran ex-Santa Fe Warbonnets (along with a hidden H2 Dash 9) leads a short but heavy concrete train north into Palmer Lake. Nice to catch these SD75Ms leading trains again!

Coal empties accelerate down the grade as they leave Palmer Lake on another beautiful Colorado morning.

A little bit of tranquility as a pair of veterans shove on the tail end of a loaded coal train as it works its way through the Greenland Open Space.

Not sure why the Rio Grande Heritage unit was left on the house tracks in downtown Colorado Springs today, but it was a welcome sight! More info at Railroad: Union Pacific

BNSF 4984 accelerates out of Palmer Lake as it descends down the north side of the Palmer Divide.

Another ACe-led coal train works north out of Palmer Lake. I love how the Greenland Open Space tends to make trains look like model railroads at times!
