A soulful old C39-8 is ready to haul more coal away from the South Yard on the former Virginian in September 1999.

I can almost hear the cicadas along this neat country road on a hot, humid and hazy September 11, 1988, at Pinola Indiana. Around the curve rolls a westbound Conrail coal train headed for Chicago.
