Two new CN GMD SD50F's 5441 and 5440 at Fort Erie, Ontario in March 1987.
They won't pass this way again. Unique units await dismantling back in the woods in a tiny southern town. I was there 6 weeks ago and there was no indication this operation ever existed.

CN 314 passes the abandoned station. Hornepayne lies at the end of the Canadian Shield. Behind the train is the start to the Hudson Bay Lowlands.

On the last leg of their run to Mac Yard, CN 5450 (retired May 13, 2008) and 6027 race south with train 304, passing Zephyr, Ontario. The crew, no doubt, would have been trying to get home in time... (more)
