Remarks: UP 7767 leads an eastbound stack train out of Flanigan past an old concrete phone booth along the former Southern Pacific Modoc ROW. Until it was abandoned past Flanigan in the late sixties, the Modoc crossed the WP at grade less than a mile west of here and continued south along Pyramid Lake toward Wadsworth and Fernley.

Remarks: On Veteran's Day, flanger SPMW 329, an old veteran of the Southern Pacific, made the journey from Albina yard to Eugene. Here at Shedd siding, UP 5291 and SPMW 329 will soon meet Amtrak #14. SPMW 329 was rebuilt in October 2009 at the Albina car shop in Portland, Oregon.
