It was a real treat to catch two Santa Fe cowl unit as the sole power of a train. SDP40Fu 5261 and F45 5956 round a big sweeping curve east of East Guam, New Mexico.
Amtrak No. 6 rolls downhill next to the Truckee River near Boca, CA. Her two SDP40Fs apparently provided plenty of power for today's consist, since the train didn't require a lead helper to get it... (more)
