An awesome Alco-MLW-EMD consist rocks around Death Curve. The curve was nicknamed Death Curve by local railfans because of the way the trains rock around the curve.
Back from the dead. After catching fire on the Mackinac Sub. last week LSRC 181 leads train 327a into Alpena in the sweet morning light. I'm very glad to see that this old girl isn't gone.
Alcos still roam on the Lake State but for how much longer? Nobody knows but for now I am pleased to catch my good old buddy #1280 leaded a train out of Alpena in the late evening.
