Remarks: A high wide special has just pulled out of the yard at Fostoria after clearing up to let a couple westbound get around them. The conducotr has looked the train over and they are about to get the light to head west with all new tanks.

Remarks: As with most photos, this one has a story to it. Due to problems with the lead unit (9598), 262 stopped at Leipsic and wyed their power at Protec to get the 9717 in the lead. Here we see them returning to their train under an interesting sky. Not quite what I was hoping to shoot here, but....

Remarks: An eastbound freight trains works east as the sun is just about set on the day. This train is out of the flat strait countryside of western Ohio. An empty autorack train waits at Continental, OH for the eastbound trains out of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Remarks: A westbound empty autorack train blast west towards Ft. Wayne, IN, on the NS Fostoria District. This lone C40 has the hammer down as this train makes good time West of Leipsic on the flat countryside. Old signals still are mast are still found in many places along the old Nickle Plate.

Remarks: Delays can be good.... After having some issues with the lead engine and a meet with 261, eastbound 306 is back on the move a few short minutes before sunset at Oakwood on the former Nickel Plate Road. The ex-Conrail SD60M is issuing forth some dark exhaust as it throttles up for the slight grade after crossing the Auglaize River.
