Attendees of the Missabe Range Historical Society annual meet were treated to the display of the Erie Mining F units.

Former Erie Mining 4211 (donated to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum) sits in the weeds at the dormant LTV Steel Mining compant pellet plant, waiting to be returned to Duluth.

The weeds tell the story - shuttered since 2001, the former LTV Steel Mining Company ore pelletizing plant will be scrapped, but hopefully the F9s will find new life.
