Surreal and gut-wrenching ... almost like it stopped mid-collapse. I have no idea what kept this car from plunging, unless it was still coupled to the car below.

CRANDIC's downtown bridge over the Cedar River ... what a mess this will be to replace, if they even try. However, hope springs. The entire downtown area was abuzz with people cleaning up today.... (more)
