Quite a meet...

The fog that encased North Platte has just parted as the Shiloh Limited speeds east. The bird sitting on the sign seems unimpressed...

As a westbound stack train heads out, an eastbound local heads in. The trains just kept on coming.

UP 3985 leads the Missouri River Eagle. Today's destination is Marysville, KS.

UP 6401 brings up the rear of a westbound empty coal train.

UP 4611 & 4610 lead the westbound Grand Island to North Platte turn.

UP 844 is eastbound at Maxwell NE.

After leaving North Platte, a Omaha Gas and Electric coal drag has an easy run across the Corn Husker State along the Platte River valley enroute to Cook, Missouri.

UP 7177 heads east on the UP mainline.

UP 3985, comes charging along US 30, into Maxwell, with it's equipment cars, heading for it's first servicing stop at Cozad. Throwing everyone off the big Challenger stopped just on the other side... (more)

A eastbound stack train, with UP 3792, 9377, & 7880, leads 118 platforms along side US 30 on #3 main, just ahead of the approaching UP 3985, as they try to stay ahead of the special.

First light glows on UP 5989 & 6224, as they lead 135 coal loads eastbound, with DPU UP 5850 about to pass under US 30, while traffic paces along side.
