At appropriately named Joshua siding two UP Century DD40Xs almost have a westbound over Cima summit in California Mojave Desert between Las Vegas and Barstow.

The daily West Colton to Roper freight takes the siding at the top of Cima hill for a meet with hot doubestack KG1LA.

With around 10-12 trains per day, catching a meet on Cima Hill isn't common. Here, MWCRO 03 with an SP Painted DPU holds the siding for a meet with domestic doublestacker KG1LA 02.

UP 8207 leads 6 cousins and an eastbound manifest, storming up Cima Hill into a forest of Joshua Trees.

It's 10/10/10 and UP's MNPWC has crested the summit of Cima Hill, probably one of the least spectacular summit's there is in the west.
