Remarks: All appears normal at Ridgely as Amtrak #303 makes its regular sojourn south thru Springfield. Out of sight, however, a Union Pacific track gang is working on the new switches and trackwork that will eventually put the historic tower out of business.

Remarks: While this scene from this window has changed dramatically since the days of the CNJ, the trains still remain. Although the UP SD9043MAC leading 212 is a tid bit larger than anything the CNJ had on their roster. PU tower is currently undergoing a complete restoration by a local man and his wife with help from the town of Phillipsburg.

Remarks: You're not from around here... BNSF 641, still in Warbonnet paint, eases into a small patch of sunlight as it heads toward Mexico Tower at the east end of CSX's Cumberland yard. After clearing the tower, the power will reverse direction and head to the other end of the yard to pick up a westbound train.
