6969's status unclear on this date, seen with a few others in the service tracks at E Altoona. Some rust on the wheels may indicate it's been sitting.

Long and lean, these beasts shove the train over the hill while the rear brakeman glances at the onlookers from the cabin window.

Working the cabin rack behind the roundhouse is what we believe was #4858, with it's own caboose. This cinderscape has since been reclaimed by Mother Nature.

Here comes a pretty pair.

Late afternoon view at E. Altoona cinderscape proves some steam still was hanging in but not much longer. M1a sister 6755 survives today static at Strasburg, PA.
