Seemingly a little out of place, but hey, it’s all in the family now. GWI that is. Today they are one of three trains in town, serving the local industrial complex.

A former SP or SSW GP35R redone without a turbo and painted up in University of Alabama colors really looks good.

Rather rare and all gone. This 12 cylinder model was only bought in quantity by NS and all have been sold off or made fodder for various rebuilds.

If I had to choose my favorite EMD locomotives it might be these.

Ex CR 8666 also Ex Lehigh Valley 252 sits in the lonely Greenidge power plant railyard. The unit would be loaded on a trailer and prepared for transport to Williamsville Depot just two days later
