I believe this was the only order from GE during the short existence of this interim railroad. No EMD trade-in trucks on these.

This only happened to ex-L&N units. I've always wondered from what level that order came. The 6200 numbering system was quickly changed and not all units were renumbered into it.

As the engineer intently eyes him move the guy on the ground appears to be heading for that bench. The unit was originally SAL, then SCL, then L&N.

Extended D/B and high headlight are dead giveaways that this is an ex-CRR unit. Train behind is a daily train 466 on the Winston Salem Southbound which mixed power from the two competitors.
