Accustomed to seeing these zooming across UP in Nebraska, now they were on Chicago-Houston/Dallas Z trains. This is the very first GP50 built.

Sad lite engine move, as these have just cut off the Hill Job at the AEI scanner and are running lite back to the shop. A 3 unit set of "new" ex BN U30Cs will replace them and bring the train in.... (more)

Don't know what's the main attraction; the U23Cs on the Dock Job still surviving, or the smoke show after every throttle-up placing each ore car over the proper dumper on the dock!
