The last of three departures from Nashville's Riverfront Station has just taken off.

Wreck units 8062 and 6214 stored at the shops , waiting on repairs.

Originally C&O, later LS&I, I have seen no proof that these units were actually used on NERR. The Alco truck was notoriously hard on curves which may have been a reason.

Westbound daily train coming back from Elizabethton with their former NYC Alco. Though the railroad exists as a local switching road this line is now a walking trail and Elizabethton is no longer... (more)

A former SCL unit appears to be the yard switcher on this date. By this point the switcher usually was a 6-axle.

In the big cut a southbound mixed freight rattles down the former L&N main. Looks like a humid day and the train is going somewhat slower than normal due to the freshly scattered ballast.

Back when JC had a switcher this one is resting for the weekend.
