Built for the N&W in May 1966 NS SD40 1590 leads a work train east from Louisville.

NS GP60 7146 leads a work train West through Michigan City.

Westbound local has finished its work and is racing home to Bristol in one of many small towns along the line. Nowadays it's six axle power.

Ten years and no repaint. I like the lines of the original SD40 better than the -2 so put a new electrical cabinet and and you've got the best of both worlds. We didn't get many of these beautie... (more)
