Worktrain heads east towards Cumberland

Q276 rounds the curve past the Mance Post Office towards Cumberland amid nice Fall colors. .

Q375 rounds the curve at Mance climbing the mountain towards Sand Patch with good Fall colors in the area.

Q261 rounds the curve at Mance to a large group of railfans enjoying the nice weather and emerging Fall colors.

Q226 passes the Mance Post Office heading down the hill towards Cumberland after cresting Sand Patch.

A pair of SD60's have westbound Q217 under control working upgrade and around the big curve at Mance.

Westbound grain loads claw their way up the mountain and around the horseshoe at Mance.

Q368 rolls down the mountain on a cold and wet Sand Patch morning.

It's a rainy, dreary and foggy morning on the patch but the colors still look great on the mountain as Q217 gets a friendly push up the hill.

Back in 2000 you could find all kinds of lashups running around on CSX. Here a westbound manifest exits Sand Patch tunnel with an ex-con and a leaser.

One of the few SD40-2's in helper service exits an original, untouched bore of Sand Patch tunnel but not for much longer as the NGP has set the bore to be notched.
