NS SD40 # 1580 will get NW colors while at TVRM.. Chattanooga Tn March 2024

Tax day and another freight is waiting to head across the mountain and up to Nashville. Not an old unit but showing a lot of signs of hard use.

A pure merchandise train when most were coal loads or empties. The head end has just passed the north switch of the long siding.

In those days just another southbound coal train. Overgrowth has probably blocked this shot by now.

Loaded coal train NS 798 winds along the French Broad River just East of Del Rio as the morning fog begins to burn off.

Just after sunrise, NS 798 pierces through the thick fog layer climbing the grade at Bridgeport with a coal train in tow for Chapel Hill, NC.

CSX M541 blasting by the old signals in downtown Englewood, Tennessee with the most recent heritage unit released. This would be the Family Lines locomotive.

NS 127 passing through Cleveland, Tennessee as they pass by Tasso on the Knoxville West End in golden light. Trailing third would be Norfolk Southern 1067 the Reading Lines heritage unit.
