Ah, the days of railroads trying to find an "identity" paint scheme after a recent merger, or inheriting/buying another railroad's equipment. Nice photo Bill. Looking at that plow, I'd say that something gave this unit a mighty swift "kick" to cause that visible damage. I wonder if it caused the hide-away coupler to get stuck in the open position, as that is one of those couplers. I would think it might have something to do with it being open.
