Except for the flat (i.e., no bay window) second story and no stairs, this looks so much like ex-C&O operations in West Virginia. Dad started his career as an operator working in towers ("cabins" on C&O) much like these in the Huntington, WV area. And maybe not this specific unit but I've seen some of these "40's" on the former B&O north of Huntington and how impressive they were. Thanks for a fantastic picture.
