At least these have a rugged locomotive look unlike those other monstrosities. I wonder what happened to them. Send them to Putin.

The 2 "NG" FP40s are still in the D&S yard, sans trucks. The rumor in town is that they're going to be shipped to American Heritage Railway's other railroad, the standard gauge Great Smokey Mountains Railroad. I won't miss seeing them in the yard - they're damn ugly. As for the DL535Es, I can't think of any better looking NG diesel-electrics. And for those not in the know, the D&S still runs steam darn near every day.

How many DL535Es does the D&S own ? What has become of the remaining White Pass DL535Es ? I have always liked these little Alcos. I hope that all of the White Pass diesels that are in storage find a good home and not be scrapped. Keep sending more pics of the DL535Es.

The D&S owns 4 also DL535Es from the white pass. As far as I know, the rest of them are still owned by the WP&Y and are still in Skagway. I believe that at least some of the GE shovel nose diesels are for sale but so far no takers.
