Several years ago, "Trains" magazine featured a posed picture of a couple at a table like this in a dining car, with the steward attempting to pour something into a glass. According to the text of the article describing the photo itself, several "takes" were required to get it right. Kudos to the photographer and the various models or participants who made this scene very believable.
