Posted by Konrad Weiss on October 10, 2022  I would guess it is accelerating with a light load causing heavy draft across the fire grate pulling the embers through. I assume that is fairly common occurrence. I know UP often followed the Challenger with a fire train to deal with the fires caused due to embers.
